F.N.'s regret at hearing that the Manchester Infirmary is being added to and enlarged; she thought it had been agreed that the ill-placed, ill constructed, ill-ventilated Infirmary was not a place to give the sick a fair chance; sold, it would make an admirable warehouse; if that is impossible she suggests the construction of a convalescent hospital outside Manchester; pays tribute to the generosity of Manchester.
