The British Soldier in India, London, Lepage, 1859, by Frederic John Mouat (1816-1897) M.D. Edinburgh; Professor of Chemistry and Materia Medica, Bengal Medical College 1841-45, of Medical Jurisprudence 1845-9; of Medicine and Clinical Medicine 1849-53, of Medicine 1853. Mouat was one of the witnesses called before the Royal Commission on the Sanitary State of the Army in India.
