5_359 29/9/56

29 Sept. 1856

Concerning a letter to Lord Murrayl; she must resign herself to being calumniated or her nurses will undermine her authority; she is sure silence is her best position; especially as she cannot tell the whole truth without inculpating S. Herbert and Co. very seriously for want of judgment; she would be sorry to degrade the great question she is struggling for into a mere personal female quarrel.
