[LORD PANMURE]

[After 10 Sept, 1855]

F.N. submits an extract of a Despatch received from the War Office (155656/193) dated Sept. 10 1855 and copies of two letters from Dr. Hall and Mrs. Bridgeman; the difficulty of her position in this matter; she complains the sole authority originally invested in her by the War Office and strengthened by the above mentioned dispatch is diminished when the sisters under her charge are ordered elsewhere; she asks that Lord Raglan communicate the instructions under which she acts to Dr. Hall and Mrs. Bridgeman; her departure for the Crimea has been delayed by these surprising communications.
