F.N. is so thankful that Miss Hogg 1 suits Miss Pringle; her autumn has been full of troubles; 'Such has been the harass that all power of continuous work is leaving one m I am losing my memory. And old age is coming fast.'

1. Louisa Hogg entered St. Thomas's Training School in 1879 aged thirty-four; in 1880 she was sent on trial to Edinburgh as House Sister; in 1887 she was appointed to the post of Sister at Haslar which she left in 1899.
