F.N. considers the St. Katherine order for Nurses 'disastrous'; it does not reward long service or promote training or reward work; it would be better for them to subsidize some scheme whereby hospitals in turn undertook to provide District Nurses for some set period such as 3 years; no good will come of offering any nurse £50 to go to a case at a moment's notice; no responsible and experienced nurse could drop her duties in such a way.
