F.N.'s mother 'wandered (much and painfully) when 1 first came; but now there is sometimes a gleam of divine happiness in her face, worth living to see'; since her father's death F.N. has lost Mrs. Bracebridge who went with her to the Crimea; 'she was more than mother to me'; tribute to Mrs. Bracebridge.
