35 South Street
31 Jan. 1869
F.N. requests Mrs. Watson to send some arrow-root or rice mould which was delicious; it is for a poor lady, the wife of one of the best of the War Office Clerks, the man whom F.N. used to call her Temple of Friendship, who has had a dreadful confinement and lost the baby; the husband earns 120 or 150 a year; F.N. is sending in wine.
