SIR HARRY VERNEY
35 South Street, Park Lane
8 Jan. 1869
F.N. is very sorry to hear how ill he has been and hopes he will stay quietly in the country at least until Parliament meets; thanks him for his kind advice about her Commissionaire and reluctantly agrees that he must go; thanks him for his kind advice about her article and asks for the manuscript back as she can only work from that or a printed paper; she has had many papers printed at her own expense so that she can correct at her leisure; she does not consider her article a proposal, merely suggestive.
