1. Charles Murchison, M.D., F.R.C.P., Profeisor of Chemistry at the Medical College, Calcutta. (See D.203 n.l.) In 1856 he was appointed to a post at the London Fever Hospital where he was enabled to concentrate on the subject of typhus. In 1862 he published A treatise an the continued fevers of Great Britain, London, Parker & Son, 1862.
