All Barrack construction comes now before a standing Commission at the War Office, called the Barrack and Hospital Improvement Commission, founded by Sidney Herbert; with regard to the Cavalry Barracks, the rooms are to be improved while all present schools and recreation rooms are to be removed and built elsewhere; Infantry Barracks are to be extended on new ground, present Barracks improved, and suitable recreation rooms will be provided; she will write to the War Office regarding the prohibition of any temperance Society within the battalions.
