Search for words in letter summaries

Use this form  to search the letter summaries in the  Calendar for specific words or combinations of words. The text search engine will display a weighted list of matching documents, with better matches shown first (i.e. the results list will not be in chronological order and will include partial matches). Each list item is a link to a matching document; identified by Sue Goldie's item number and the date.  The best strategy is to use the shortest part of the word followed by *, to maximise the chance of finding it when it contains OCR errors.  See 'Query Language' below for more search tips.

Query Language
The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:
germ theory - finds documents containing 'germ' or 'theory'
germ or theory - same as above
germ and theory - finds documents containing both 'germ' and 'theory', not necessarily together
germ not theory - finds documents containing 'germ' but not 'theory'
(germ not theory) and sanitary - finds documents containing 'sanitary', plus 'germ' but not 'theory'
sanit* - finds documents containing words starting with 'sanit', e.g. sanitary, sanitation
