Misprints found in the book Florence Nightingale, Avenging Angel since publication
1. Photo attribution
The photograph of Lord Palmerston on page ix should be attributed to National Portrait Gallery.2. Simon's reprinted papers
On page 142 the date of John Simon's reprint should be 1887.3. Notes on Matters
On page 207 NoM should be expanded as ".... founded chiefly on the experience of the Late War".4. Numbers of deaths in the Crimea and Scutari
Note 29 on page 212 should say:
"Tulloch's improved table in NoM for October-April shows that
of 41,395 patients who stayed in the Crimea, 5341 died i.e. 13%;
of 12,518 sent to Scutari, 4522 died i.e. 36%."
A misprint reversed the number of deaths but the percentages remain the same and so does the conclusion that the death rate at Scutari was much higher.4. Name mis-spelled
Alphonse Quetelet's name is mis-spelled in note 15 on page 215
